Actually, to St Paul’s Church, Hammersmith, on Friday, 6th May from 7pm - midnight to be precise! And it’s not just any circus but The Daisy Trust Gloriosa Circus.
After two years of lockdown and empty diaries, the new staying in is...well...going out and what better way to celebrate the lifting of restrictions than a Black Tie Ball entry for your spanking new 2022 diary? And we promise that the only bubbles you’ll find will be in your champagne glass and when you shout “Corona” you’ll get a beer, not a rapid flow test. What’s more, it’s all in support of The Daisy Trust and every penny raised on the night will be distributed to local charities serving the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.
A drinks reception will kick start your evening before you’re ushered to your seat as the lights dim and the entertainment begins. And while you’re enjoying your three course dinner accompanied by a selection of wines, you’ll be kept on the edge of your seat by a variety of circus acts, a surprise guest speaker and a live auctioneer who will tempt you with all sorts of unique experiences, luxury holidays, gourmet dining and pampering treatments to die (and bid) for.
And then it’ll be time to demonstrate your acrobatic skills; your flicks and flips, your spins and twists (not to mention those Joe Wicks moves you perfected during lockdown) when you take to the dance floor. And when you’d rather flop than flip and it’s time to rehydrate, there’ll be a post dinner cash bar laden with your favourite tipples.
So dust down your top hat and tailcoat, sprinkle some sparkle on your sequins and come and roll up at the Big Top.
