What is the aim of The Daisy Trust?

The aim of The Daisy Trust is to support charities and voluntary organisations for the benefit of the community in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

The Daisy Trust is a registered charity, (registration number 283890) founded in 1981.

The Daisy Trust has always been run entirely by volunteers which enables the Trust to devote all the money it raises straight back into the community.

What are the objectives of The Daisy Trust?

The objectives of the Trust are to make grants for charitable purposes based on need and merit in particular:

  • the prevention or relief of poverty;

  • the advancement of education;

  • the advancement of health or the saving of lives;

  • the advancement of citizenship or community development;

  • the relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage; and

  • other purposes currently recognised as charitable and any new charitable purposes which are similar to any other charitable purposes.

Who can apply?

We only make grants to organizations working for the benefit of people living in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. We are not able to help individuals.

We only make grants for a specific project that has demonstrated charitable purpose or purposes which meet the objectives of the Trust.

Projects should aim to benefit as many people as possible who are living in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

We are not able to commit to long term projects or contribute to general administrative expenses such as salaries.

We prefer a specific purpose for grants, supported by estimates or quotations where possible.

Our grants are modest but we have no set rules. Grants are made monthly.

We ask each applicant to complete an online application form which can be accessed here.

If you would like to provide us with any further information eg. leaflets, brochures or accounts, these should be sent to: The Secretary, The Daisy Trust, 12 Broomhoouse Road, London SW6 2QX.

We will acknowledge receipt of your application and let you know when it will be considered. Sometimes we do not have sufficient information about an organisation or the purpose for which a grant is sought. If we require additional information we will contact you. If you are a new beneficiary we will ask to visit you.

You will be informed either by email or letter whether your application has been successful.
